Standard Equipment

Every Fumair laboratory fume cupboard includes the following features as standard:

Polyester powder-coated steel subframe and fascia panels, with visible panels finished in a durable textured eggshell finish

High pressure laminate (HPL) inner chamber

Vertically sliding 6mm toughened glass sash with full-width handle and failsafe counterbalance system – precision-balanced to stop in any position

Automatic sash stop mechanism allows temporary override for setup/loading and automatically resets when lowered

Finger protection stops to prevent hand or wrist injury or cable damage

3mm stainless steel sash cables running over needle-bearing pulleys for smooth, long-life operation

Cast epoxy resin worktop with all-round spillage retention and full support along all four sides

Flush-mounted oval epoxy resin drip cup (alternative sink/trough sizes and positions available)

Removable LED lighting module, sealed from the inner chamber

Fused light switch, mounted externally on the fascia

Fixed-position rear baffle for consistent containment and face velocity at all sash heights

316 stainless steel reinforced lower cill for durability and chemical resistance

Broen Uniflex service outlets for gas, air and water (as required)

Removable service panels for maintenance of service control valves, airflow monitor and electrical outlets

Lockable, hinged upper access panel with stays for safe inspection of sash counterbalance system, light, controller and duct connection

Flush-mounted TEL AFA1000 airflow monitor with digital colour display of face velocity in m/s, programmable alarms for low/high airflow and sash overheight – Other makes and models easily accommodated

Two twin switched socket outlets, prewired, with optional RCD or MCB protection

Open legframe with heavy-duty levelling feet and rear service void

uPVC “fishtail” duct adaptor from inner chamber to circular extract duct connection

Delivered to site in sub-assemblies to ensure all components pass through a single-width doorway and can be carried upstairs if no goods lift is available

Fully manufactured in the UK and tested to meet or exceed BS EN 14175
