Specification
Width: 1000mm external, 920mm internal (alternative widths available on request).
Depth: 710mm external, 660mm internal
Height: 2220mm external (including frame/under cupboard), 1100mm internal (max).
Frame
Formed from aluminium extruded profiles, finished in white stove chemically resistant paint finish to the following standards: main frame to international 9910. Side frames and sash components to BS:4842 and BS:6496.
The sash is 6mm toughened safety glass balanced by a totally concealed counterbalance weight incorporating a failsafe mechanism to prevent the sash falling in the unlikely event of a cable failing. A key operated stop limits the sash to a normal working height of 400mm but allows the sash to be raised beyond this limit for the purpose of loading large apparatus etc.
Chamber Top
Formed from 6mm chemically resistant white copolymer polypropylene.
Glazing
The cupboard is glazed to all four sides with 6mm toughened glass to BS:6206. A clear Perspex baffle is fitted to the rear of the fume cupboard chamber.
Air Bypass
A bypass grille above the sash is fitted to ensure that when the sash is lowered, the rate of air entering the progressively narrowing sash aperture is countered by air entering the chamber via the bypass grille.
Worktop
The worktop is manufactured from dark grey phenolic resin, fully dished to contain spillage. Alternative materials are available on request.
Services
The standard fume cupboard is supplied complete with one front controlled water, polypropylene dripcup and gas outlet, one double gang switched socket outlet and a switched fluorescent light. Optional airflow monitors and fan control systems are available to suit specification. Service controls are mounted on the fascia below the sash. All taps are colour coded to the DIN 12920. Additional water, gas and air services can be fitted to suit specifications.
Under Cupboard
The fume cupboard is supplied with a timber under cupboard. Steel legframes (with or without castors) or bench-mounted units are available on request.
